‘I think I can fly – probably just falling’ was made in 2002 in the symposium ‘Terra’ in Kikinda, Serbia. The height is 78.7’’ (2m) and the width is 118’’ (3 m). The sculpture has 3 parts, which when put together make an architectural form one can enter. Inside this structure there are stands for candles - the candlelight allows one to see the drawings on the wall. From the outside, the sculpture - wall - shelter - candleholder is a spatial comicstrip. The lyrics from a song of the British rock band Spiritualized are written in the ballons: "…I think I can fly (probably just falling)…I think I’m the best (probably like all the rest)… ".
It is made in terracotta and is the property of the ‘Terra’ symposium. The photographs were taken before the sculpture was fired.
